About Ledgertone
Ledgertone is an independent project that ranks artists in two phonk genres (Phonk and Brazilian Phonk) on Pandora by 28-day listeners. Every ranking is a dated snapshot: the numbers are read from artist profiles on one specific day, and nothing on the site updates live.
How Ledgertone started
SETTWOR noticed by chance that some other phonk artists had fewer listeners on Pandora than he did, and wanted to check it on the internet. He could not find any information about listeners on Pandora, so he checked the numbers by hand, artist by artist, to learn the real counts. Later he decided to build a site where this information can be kept and checked more accurately. That is why Ledgertone exists.
The site was created and launched on 24 October 2026, but without the full information. After many improvements, it was launched in full, with the whole database, on 27 October 2026.
How the data is collected
We would rather show less than show something we cannot stand behind.
- Collected by hand
- Every figure is collected by hand from the profile of each phonk artist on Pandora.
- Verified listeners
- Every listener count is verified before it is published. It is the number of listeners over the last 28 days, rounded the way Pandora shows it.
- Not the Pandora API
- Ledgertone does not use any official Pandora API. We only collect and organize numbers shown on artist profiles.
- Snapshots, not live
- Numbers never update on their own. Each snapshot shows the date it was captured, and older snapshots stay available.
- Top 100 only
- Ledgertone follows the top 100 artists of each genre. The list of all other artists is not updated. They stay in the data but are hidden from the ranking.
Methodology
Method version 1.0, in force since Ledgertone 1.45.0. A number quoted from the site can be traced to the rules below and to the date of its snapshot.
- Metric
- The ranking metric is the number of listeners over the last 28 days on the artist profile on Pandora, rounded the way Pandora shows it.
- Order
- Artists with a number are placed by listeners, highest first, and equal numbers by name. Artists marked Few get the next places after the numbered ones, by name. Artists without a reading show No data and have no place.
- Verified and not verified
- Artists whose genre is verified and artists whose genre is not verified are shown in one table. A red note marks every artist whose genre is not verified.
- Top 100
- The home page lists places 1 to 100 of each genre. The full list of all artists is on a separate page.
- Change pills
- When a genre has an older snapshot, a numbered row shows how many places the artist moved against the next older snapshot of the same genre. No pill is shown for new artists, for Few and No data, or when the place did not change.
- Snapshot address
- Every snapshot has a stable address in the form #genre-YYYY-MM-DD, shown under the table.
Changes to the method
- Ledgertone 1.22.0
- Change pills against the next older snapshot.
- Ledgertone 1.14.0
- The ranking is cut to places 1 to 100 of each genre.
- Ledgertone 0.71.0
- Artists marked Few get a place after the numbered ones.
- Ledgertone 0.60.0
- Artists whose genre is not verified are shown in the same table, ordered by listeners.
- Ledgertone 0.54.0
- The ranking metric is 28-day listeners.
Who runs Ledgertone
Ledgertone is run by SETTWOR, an artist who is also listed in the rankings. He checks the accuracy of the data by hand. The aim is a useful and honest reference for phonk listeners. Every artist, SETTWOR included, is placed by the same rule: by the 28-day listeners number in the snapshot. If you find a number that looks wrong, write to the address below and it will be checked.
SETTWOR also runs the CDRA project: cdras.github.io.
Independence
Ledgertone is not affiliated with Pandora. Pandora is a trademark of its respective owner and is named here only as the source of the numbers. The numbers are a record of one moment and may differ from what Pandora shows today. Ledgertone is not affiliated with Spotify either: artist pictures are loaded from Spotify's image servers, and Spotify is a trademark of its respective owner.
